Is this really that big of a surprise? A reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle recorded several anti-Obama protesters who disrupted an Obama fundraiser. In other words, she was reporting the news. The Administration's response: the reporter, Carla Marinucci, was "
removed as a [press] pool reporter."
Here's the video:
That's scary
ReplyDeleteMost thin skinned President ever
ReplyDeleteTransparency!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing transparent about this administration is that Obama is an empty suit.
Who am I?
ReplyDeleteChronicle today, Constitution tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBut they'll STILL vote to re-elect him. They deserve to get slapped around.
ReplyDeletepour encourager les autres. http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Candide
ReplyDeleteI just received word from the Ministry of Transparency that this did not actually happen. It is such a relief. We do still live in a free country with a free press. They said so.
ReplyDeleteHe *is* the most transparent president ever. I can see right through him.
ReplyDelete"They told me that if I voted Republican in 2008..." Aw, you know the rest.
ReplyDeleteMiss GWB? Hell, this make me miss RMN!
ReplyDeleteThe administration is just making it clear that the require 100% compliance during the campaign which has now started. It really is a blatant attempt at intimidating the press to toe the line. Any dissenters will be punished, not with bullets but with lack of access. Which means they can't do their jobs.
ReplyDeleteThis will not stand. The press will do the right thing and stand up for freedom of speech......
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha ha ...ahhh I crack myself up. yeah, that's gonna happen.
How's that Hope & <> working out for ya'll?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.
ReplyDeleteDid GW Bush banish reporters?
Seriously, I'm too lazy to google this sh*t but I bet "no."
All those who "spoke truth to power" didn't have a clue.
Obama is everything they accused Bush of being and I watch from the Great White North with a glass of whiskey in hand and a wry grin for the stupid f*cks on the left.

A resident of America's Hat
Remember when the head guy at CNN said that his network slanted its coverage of Saddam Hussein in order to have access to Iraq?
ReplyDeleteWe've got another Hussein here in the USA playing the same game.
How's that hopey-changey stuff working for you, America?
San Francisco and SFGate are not exactly right-wing terrorists.
ReplyDeleteMaybe now, the Legions of the Left will see what a monster they've hatched.
Any decent journalist would resign from the reporting pool to protest this treatment of Ms. Marinucci, until Marinucci is reinstated. Obama is controlling the news and is controlling them.

Any reporter still in the reporting pool is declaring him/herself to be an unpaid employee of the administration. Do they have personal ethics? Why should anyone trust their reporting after this?

If the press really wanted to defend the first amendment, they'd boycott the white house press conferences until the administration cut that shit out. Deprive a politician of his propaganda outlet, and he'll feel the pain. Those bastards live for attention.
ReplyDeleteLook, the President has the right to fire anyone from his campaign. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen everything is outrageous, nothing is outrageous. This man is capable of some great things, to bad not a one of them will benefit freedom in the US.
ReplyDeleteAnd how many of the rest of the pool reporters joined the "We Are Carla" movement? Doesn't look like any did? Are these people media whores or what? No wonder the audience of the MSM is drifting away.
ReplyDeleteWith behavior like this, and guys like Gibbs and now Carney, you just have to wonder why the press, by and large, supports Obama and will say or do anything to make him look good.
ReplyDeleteAnd like a kicked dog they come back meekly for more. The MSM will never recover their reputation after this presidency.
