Nuclear Meltdown 'Likely' Underway at Japanese Plant (March 13, 2011)

Breaking-  The Japanese government has released a statement saying that a "partial nuclear meltdown" is likely underway at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant.
The plant was damaged in the massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan yesterday.  Attempts to cool the nuclear plant have failed.

170,000 people in the surrounding area have been evacuated.
