Fiorina in Lead in California, Despite Projection

Senate candidate Carly Fiorina is in the lead in the California race. This comes as even FoxNews has projected the race for incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Fiorina appears to have a solid chance of winning this race, as she is leading in heavily Republican areas with many precincts yet to be counted.

Boxer is winning in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as can be expected but they appear to not be as wide as could be expected. According to Politico Fiorina has opened a .7% lead statewide over Boxer.

In San Diego:

Fiorina: 53.6%
Boxer 40.8%

28% in

Los Angeles:

Boxer: 52.4%
Fiorina: 42.5%

8% in

Fresno:

Fiorina: 58.7
Boxer: 35.6

less than one percent in

San Francisco

Boxer: 74.0%
Fiorina: 24.8

less than 1% in

Sacramento

Boxer: 48.9%
Fiorina: 44.6%

57% in

Taking this into consideration, it appears that much of the conservative areas of the state have not been counted. The eastern part of the state it heavily voting for Fiorina and rejecting Boxer.

The chances are that the military absentee ballots could help Fiorina to get over the top. It still appears unlikely, but who would guess that they would be ahead.
